- Michelle has lived in four countries and delved into the aesthetics and decoration methods in each different culture. This helps her when writing about different time zones and areas and allows for a broader understanding of how different people approach design, DIY, and all things home.
- She has learned how to fix broken bits and bobs in her house from writing repetitive home-help articles and loves to try the DIY trends, which she frequently focuses on in her articles.
- Michelle has worked for Static Media, creating content that is both relatable and helpful.
Experience
Michelle has been writing and creating content since she realized as a toddler how amazing school supplies were. As a writer for House Digest, she uses her knowledge of home hacks and topics to help others make the most out of their daily experiences and needs. From testing and now constantly touting using a salad spinner to launder hand wash items to attempting new hacks and sometimes failing at them, her writing is meant to make readers feel like they are gaining advice from a friend or trusted source. During college, her focus was on Literature and Creative Writing. Meanwhile, wandering the halls of an old manor where her University campus was located filled her with a passion for interior design and history. She has written for Narcity, Nevada Magazine, and a number of other online websites and publications. While her focus has predominately been on travel, recent writing jobs have provided great insight into home topics. She has written hundreds of articles about businesses and hacks for homeowners (including an exorbitant amount of blogs about HVAC systems) and loves finding new trends and tips.
Education
Michelle attended Middlesex University in London, England, where she received a B.A. in English literature and creative writing and an M.A. in media and communications management.
